Exciting news for Kristin Boos (2001)! She verbally committed earlier this week to DePaul University.
DePaul is located in Lincoln Park (Chicago). It is the nation's largest Catholic university with a total student enrollment of almost 23 thousand. They have 15 sports teams that play in the NCAA D1, Big East conference.
Kristin had 17 D1 colleges express interest in her after the ODP Interregionals in Boca Raton Florida in November 2017. She visited over a dozen campuses over the past 5 months and had a hand-full of full ride offers.
Kristin chose DePaul University (over her other top two choices- Vanderbilt and Marquette) because she felt it was the best fit for her. From the welcome she received by the team, to the coaches, to the team culture and values, to the quality of the play, the school’s size & location in Chicago and its quality art program, DePaul rose to the highest spot for her. She is planning on majoring in studio art; Chicago will be a great city to complement that major.
Kristin feels relieved to have the decision made and is looking forward to playing college soccer in a new environment.
Her official college Signing Day will be Feb 6th 2019 (Kristin’s senior year).
Kristin & her family are grateful to United FC, her coach, Jake Zammit, and her UFC 01G GR team for all the support and soccer opportunities up to this point in her life.
