A once in a lifetime opportunity for a local Michigan soccer player will take place this August in London, England. Kristin Boos, a u17 player for United FC- MI has been invited by the Tottenham Hotspurs women’s team head coach, Karen Hills, to tryout for their u18 academy and professional 1st team during their pre-season camp. The Spurs Ladies have been promoted this season to the highest league in England- the Women’s Super League- in which several US national team players have played.
Kristin Boos has played for United FC-MI for 6 years and has made the U.S. region II Olympic Development Team for 3years in a row. The owners of United FC-MI, Andy Chapman and Ian Fairbrother, both past professional soccer players in England and the U. S., were instrumental in getting Kristin this chance to be seen by this top club in England.
Kristin’s club coach, Jake Zammit, who has coached her since she was 10 years old, says “Kristin is truly a special player; who is capable of beating her opponent in so many different ways. She is extremely skilled and creative on the ball, but it is her vision and the way that she reads the game that truly sets her apart. I am thrilled to watch her have this incredible opportunity."
Kristin has a YouCaring site set up for this trip. If you’d like to see more details, see her photos or access links to her highlight videos, go to:
